Logistics Manager
Job Description:
- Develop and Maintain customer base
- Assist in the development and maintenance of outside carrier base
- Solicit and coordinate freight planning and freight movement
- Negotiate rates with carriers
- Locate carriers to move available freight
- Monitor carrier performance and safety requirements
Job Requirements:
- High school education
- Minimum of two-years brokerage / Transportation experience required
- Basic understanding of Brokerage Operations and geographic freight markets is required
Qualifications or Special Skills Required:
- Positive Attitude
- Existing customer and/or carrier base is a plus
- Prior demonstration of negotiation skills is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc)
