Our fleet of Peterbilt trucks are considered within the industry to be state of the art in design, power and efficiency. These units are equipped with Caterpillar engines that are linked to onboard programmable computers (ECMs) that can control various functions such as shift points, rpms, top speed, idle time etc. They also have a built in logging capability that monitors all of the above, as well as braking information, mileage, fuel consumption, and more. This information can be downloaded to a PC or laptop that is equipped with the proper communications software, and then used to track a vehicles condition or efficiency. Our highway units are equipped with Qualcomm Qtracs satellite 2-way messaging systems. The Qtracs communication system is an extremely valuable resource for the trucking industry in todays active market.
